As Pride month comes to a close, we’re excited to share ‘A Moment in Time’: a series that highlights the moments in the lives of our queer artists that were monumental in their journey of self-discovery. @maddiezahm looked back at the moment when her and her partner broke up shortly after coming out as queer to her parents. She soon realized that she didn’t need to “prove” her queerness by being in a relationship. There was strength & power in claiming her sexuality as an individual. She also reflected on the time when she watched the performance of “I Belong To You” by @brandicarlile in 2016. Brandi’s openness about her sexuality in her music served as inspiration for Maddie to do the same. 🎨 @az.grohs
