Loving someone deeply takes sacrifice and commitment. It's learning to set aside your selfish needs and serve one another without limitations. We as humans tend to love under conditional circumstances. We hold back our love in moments of rejection, bitterness, annoyance, and hurt. In those moments we almost choose to remain there to hurt those who have hurt us back. But what if we asked God to help us to love unconditionally? What would happen if we studied our significant other and loved them the way Jesus does? We would see them the way He does. Of course that's not always easy, but this is why we have to intentionally make this our daily prayer. "Lord, regardless of how my spouse/significant other may hurt or reject me, help me to love them the way you do. Help me to not allow unforgiveness to remain in me, and allow me to love them unconditionally just as you do." Don't let your flesh dictate how you love your significant other today. Love them sacrificially, unconditionally, and love them well.
