This is a long one, folks...read if you dare! Usually I like to hide under a rock when my birthday rolls around, but this year is different, and it’s a year I loved and wanna remember. 2022 started out with a massive shock to my system when I found out I was the victim of a swindler. Yep.🤦🏻‍♀️ It was an extremely hard pill to swallow mentally, emotionally, and financially (and that's putting it lightly). But the crazy thing is, I have come out the other side better than I ever have been. How does that even happen?! I feel so fortunate and thankful for my dad and the amazing wonderful friends who came to my mental rescue in early Jan - you pulled me outta the gutter! My dream job miraculously fell into my lap almost immediately after (thank you UNIVERSE, and Jimmy!), allowing me to travel the globe, and combine my passions of working with kids AND music photography. Not only was I surrounded by the most uplifting and inspiring group of people I could have ever hoped to work with & for, but I was surrounded by MUSIC. Every. Single. Day. And I loved every moment. For those that follow along in my IG stories, you already know this ;) A big move to music city also happened this year, and as hard as it was to say goodbye to Brooklyn & NYC (my home for 10+ years), Nashville feels more like home now and I am much happier there. Year 38 is one i’ll always remember - easily the best yet with more “pinch me” moments than i can count - and I'm so thankful for the few select & special people in it that I have grown close to this year. Today I begin lap #39 (!) around the great big ball of fire in the sky (#happybirthday to me and Keith Richards 🎸🥳). Ah, the last year of my 30's... I feel old and young at the same time, but also not thinking of myself as either. 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️ If you made it this far, thanks for reading, and also supporting my photography on this lil IG page.
