I am officially a year on my hrt, #transisbeautiful and at first I wasn’t going to say anything because I find it such a personal thing for me but it is a celebration! It took me forever to start due to medical complications, self doubt & fears. I even slept next to my medicine for a full year before starting. Somebody play some damn self control by Frank Ocean 😭. Every day and night up until a year ago I asked myself am I making the right choice... still till this day I say yes! Of course it has changed a lot my relationships but it also showed that I am still loved regardless. Honestly if it wasn’t for my supportive friends, community and family I wouldn’t know what I would do! There were a lot of ups and downs, tears being released and smiles starting to shine, if you notice I smile a lot more. That’s because I’m happy, I’m proud of myself for getting here and being who I am. I struggled a lot but all journeys have their bumps in the road that you must learn to overcome!
