I love music DEEPLY; always have, always will. It has been the constant motivator and "north star"; giving me the direction I needed in life. I didn't think that you could love music any more than I did until I met @djbehrouz well over 20 years ago in San Francisco. He'd have you believe that @djsharam and I were HIS influences but oftentimes it was the OTHER way around. Behrouz was a staunch defender of groove-laden, melodic deep house; never wavering in his desire to touch every single soul on the dance floor - even yours truly - with his magic and hypnotic sound. He worked TIRELESSLY to do just that, and on a global level. Balancing family life - being a husband and a father - with the demands of constant travel and the success of his Miami club @donotsit was always a challenge. But he loved music too much to ever let go of the reigns to any aspect of his busy life. Over the past 8 years he had finally achieved the success and recognition that he had tirelessly worked towards his whole life, only to be tragically struck down by not one, but two strokes, leading to semi-paralysis. He's been in my thoughts on a daily basis and I cannot fathom what he and his family have been going through. Empathy is an easy word to apply here but I honestly don't think I have any grasp on what he must be thinking or feeling as what he loved to do more than anything else in the world has now been taken away from him, and that's the least of his problems right now.
