I feel so blessed to enter into a new year of life, but I feel so Burdened with the Country’s decision to overturn #roevwade that it just didn’t feel right putting up a bday post, the same day the decision was made celebrating me on your timeline. . I was raised by a strong woman, I’m engaged to a strong woman, and I have a plethora of strong women in my life who love, support and nurture me like Family. I see your pain and your confusion by the governments childish decision and I see how it’s making even the strongest women feel hopeless and powerless in our Country right now. . I am not a women, but as A Black Man in America I know how Painful and unfair it feels to have a Bunch of Suits in D.C Making decisions about your life, your rights and your body. When they couldn’t even walk a day in our shoes! . Part of the job description of being a real man, is loving, providing, protecting, and serving the women in your life and being there to offer that container of safety to women who may not be as fortunate. It requires a certain level of maturity to suspend what you know as your daily norm, and put your feet in the shoes of the LESS FORTUNATE. That level of maturity has never reallllllllllllyyyyyyyy has existed in this country’s government, and I’m so sorry it was proven to be the case again. . Some Women feel suffocated, restricted, controlled, etc by this decision, and that’s a feeling that usually leads to isolation, and the way these Gas prices are set up We gonna need community more than ever now! . My Birthday wish for this year is for everyone(ESPECIALLY THE MEN)to pour up a Birthday Bev in honor of me and Just ....Listen 🦻🏾 . Suspend your opinion on this matter and just LISTEN 🦻🏾 . Suspend your religious beliefs for a second and JUST LISTEN 🦻🏾 . Listen to that strong woman who now feels powerless, listen to that stranger who may have had their body taken from them by a man, and listen to your daughters, nieces and sisters who have questions, because you just mite be able to provide an answer.
