Thank you for all of the birthday love beamed in from around the world. Like us all, I learned a lot this year and had the gift of time to let some of those teachings really imprint. I learned that in stillness, we find wisdom. In nature, we find answers. That there is no end to the lengths we will go to save our loved ones. And sometimes that isn't enough. That there is deep peace in death. That grieving is not linear. That joy is infectious. And eye smiles are too. I learned that loving hard can hurt and that this hug might be your last. That friendship makes the world feel bright and that music is truly the most healing medicine. I learned that we are all inherently good. Intricately connected. And insanely resilient beings.
