Sabino Canyon is the perfect spot to catch the cactus blooms before the blooming period ends. Here is some helpful info on these beautiful blooms: Peak blooming season is considered to be spring to late summer. Prickly pear and hedgehog cacti tend to bloom earlier in the season, while saguaro and cholla follow into June. 🌵 Barrel cacti like to wrap up the season with their blooms in mid to late summer. ☀️ Monsoon rains will bring blooms on a variety of different cacti. ⛈️ Fun fact: some cacti bloom overnight!
