@sage.foundation presents JUST A GIRL an emotive film that explores the multifaceted problems behind the epidemic of Child Marriage in Nigeria. Filmed in Lagos we speak to the young girls affected by this traumatic and widespread problem and the women working to abolish the laws that allow this to happen and to educate these young women so that they can reclaim their futures. Directed by Yassa Khan, this visceral film echoes the brutal and fragile nature of their stories through a kaleidoscope of melancholic visuals. @sage.foundation is partnering with young activists It’s Never Your Fault @itsneveryourfault to reach 500,000 signatures on Change.Org, to change legislation and ban Child Marriage in Nigeria.
