Gingerbread Wildwood Cake with marzipan mushrooms and cake crumb moss. My birthday is in less than a month! I am currently dreaming up what my cake will look like this year. I’m positive I’ll never be able to top this one I made last year. I hand sculpted each mushroom and used a muted palette reminiscent of natures perfect tones. The pink oysters feel very girly to me which was just what I was wanting. People often ask me where I find my inspiration. I find it in the most unassuming places. My inspiration for this cake was a sweet little box that held my grandmothers childhood watch. It’s white tufted outside with a pink velvet inside. It holds her little gold watch still.
