Alfie Ransom, 12, was told off for donning he iconic – and comical – hairstyle worn by Brazilian legend Ronaldo at the 2002 World Cup.
The haircut featured a semi-circle at the front of his head, but the young boy's teachers didn't approve of it and called it a “breach of school rules.”
Mum Emma, 32, said: “Nowadays, schools are all about accepting people for who they are and encouraging people to be unique and themselves. How is this any different?
“Ronaldo is one of my son's favourite players and it's the World Cup. He's confident with how he looks now and I don't want to force him to have his head shaved."
