Photographing @badbunnypr the biggest artist in the Latin world but also the biggest in the world. Most of my Puerto Rican family knows me as this artist who photographs people without clothes. I think a lot of them are confused but trust I have a vision and path and they are supportive. But for me there was something to prove photographing the king of Puerto Rico. To show them it’s not a game for me or a fun little hobby. I’m a proud Boricua 🇵🇷 Tanto amor para todos mis seguidores puertorriqueños y latinos. Sueñen a lo grande. Nos mantenemos fuertes juntos y esto es solo el comienzo. Side story: After day 1 of any festival I am at a table editing and backing up my work. Sometimes staying up until the early morning. For the first day of the festival I didn’t do that. I had taken a red eye and when I got home I just collapsed. Just before Bad Bunny went on stage, I checked my bag and realized I didn’t have my SD card. 128GB of photographs and videos from the first day of the festival. The emotions I felt in that moment. I’ve never felt that in a photo pit. Really thought about leaving and going for a cigarette (haven’t had one in 2 years). After breaking my camera the night before and then this. But the lights turned off, the crowd started to chant, and it was game time to shoot Benito. I blocked everything out and focused on my job. After 3 songs I left the pit and I ran all over the festival searching the ground. I found Melina in the crowd and she could see I was so defeated after the long weekend. I felt like such a failure. To end on this note. I told her I couldn’t focus on the show and needed to keep looking on the ground. Finally, at one spot I was standing, in the grass, in the dark, I found my SD card. I screamed out loud in excitement and couldn’t believe my eyes. Harder than a needle in a hay stack. I ran back to Melina and the rest of the night was a unforgettable glow. I will never forget this show. Benito’s performance was unmatched. His energy and deep love for Puerto Rico and the Latin world made me so proud. But I will always look back at this moment like the moment I lost the card and found the card in impossible circumstances. #badbunny
