We like you a latke! 🥔 Today marks the first day of Hannukah 🕎 and what better way to celebrate the season than with easy potato latkes (AKA potato pancakes)? Last weekend, Charity, FRESHFARM’s Food Access Community Educator, showed Mount Vernon Triangle market shoppers how to make their own latkes at home using ingredients from the farmers market including potatoes, onions, and eggs. Charity does cooking demos like this all over the city, teaching new recipes and helping folks get excited in the kitchen! At Mount Vernon Triangle, she got to take our brand-new cooking kiosks for a spin. MVT CID designed and built these mobile, modular kiosks in partnership with FRESHFARM and @elstudioarch to help bring more cooking demonstrations and educational opportunities to our weekly, year-round farmers market. We are so grateful to @op_indc Streets for People grant for funding this project!
