therapeutic movement first a passing of my family, now a passing of the dance community. everything just feels heavy rn. i pray for all. learning a lot about grief this year. the first bit was so hard to realize life keeps going although it feels like yours just stopped. there’s a deep sadness that lives under all the other emotions at all times. next, it hits so randomly. one day you’ll wake up and you’ll feel physical pain in your heart, one day it slowly rises and consumes your thoughts, one day it will be triggered by a specific sense. it’s unpredictable but i like to believe those times where it’s heavily in the forefront of your heart are when that spirit is truly right there with you, hugging you & holding you.
