What a night speaking at the @gardnermuseum with Pieranna Cavalchini, the Gardner’s Tom and Lisa Blumenthal Curator of Contemporary Art. We spoke about my use of gold in my work and how I created the site-specific sculpture Calling The Earth to Witness for the museum’s Bertucci Education Studio. Of course, I also spoke about what my family and my culture means to me. Also got the chance to introduce my my newest series Devi, portraits of my mom Kalpana Devi Piya Shrestha ❤️ With about 150 people in attendance, I was overwhelmed by the amount of support I received from family, friends and loving supporters ❤️ thank you for making me feel seen in very real ways 🥰 Official photos from the night coming soon.
