Details of the Bone Dining Table
The two stretchers of the table are locked in place by white oak wedges visible in slides 2-5. Since it’s a glueless joint, the wedges can be taken apart for disassembly, or further tightened to account for wood contraction in colder months of the year. The same applies to the oak pegs at the top of the base in slides 2 and 4.
A lil somethin’ that’s easy to miss are the plugs of the sliding dovetail channels in the side of the tabletop. Seeing them take their final shape in the top’s undercut was a really satisfying part of the build.
