SEHNSUCHT 22.09-20.10.22 at Galerie Prisma in Bozen/Bolzano IT happy to announce my solo-exhibition at Galerie Prisma in Bozen/Bolzano (IT) - within the @baw_bolzanoartweeks curated by @lisa_trockner OPENING 22.09.22 18h Works shown were created or further developed during my artist residency at @citedesartsparis in 2021 that was made possible by @suedtiroler_kuenstlerbund and @stiftung.sparkasse ‚Sehnsucht‘ is a word in German that is not translatable. Similar to the Portuguese ‚Saudade‘ it describes the feeling of longing, desire, awaiting, and expectation - it contains melancholy, nostalgia, impatience, and languishing. Within this work cycle, I investigated in collective and personal longings, trying to channel them into still and moving imagery. In the exhibition fiction, memoirs, observations, and biography melt together and result in layers that simulate the up and downs of everyday life and its complexity and banality.
