Grieving the life you thought you'd have is "normal" and necessary before you can accept where you are now. Believe it or not I still have moments of grieve, however I'm trying to not let them overcome me. Even though I try not to compare Matthew with other children sometimes I just can't stop myself. This especially happens when I hear about someone's Matthew's age or younger kids when they meet certain milestones that Matthew never met. I'm trying to distract myself from those thoughts, because they make me sad and it's like falling down a rabbit hole.
