I was about to film something and set up my phone to do so but right after I pressed record an email I was waiting on popped up. I read the email (with amazing news) and happened to capture my reaction here. What you see above is a 34 year old woman sighing a breath of relief that her childhood dream is coming to life. It’s a combination of joy, relief and pride. I want to hold hands with my 13 year old self and jump up and down and say “LOOK WHAT WE DID!!!!” I have been GRINDING to get here. Most of you know my background. Undergrad. Bop Around. Fashion School. Give up the dream for security. Finance. Software. Leave it all behind for the DREAM JOB. I’m posting this for all the people who are GRINDING at their dream jobs and for the people who are scared to leave. If you are financially secure, do it. Don’t waste one more minute of your life doing something that doesn’t fill your cup. If you are working on it but it’s slow and frustrating, keep at it. Cut out anyone who dismisses your dreams or makes you feel inferior for having them and prove them all wrong with your success down the road. Don’t compare yourself to others - it will do nothing but slow you down. You CAN do it. It will happen. Never give up.
