Your friendly neighborhood MJ (#maryjanewatson of @spiderman) to end the Halloween spree. This year, I did four costumes and attended six parties (including Heidi Klum’s, which is such an honor and will always be to be in that room). I learned the best costumes are ones that bring back a bit of childhood nostalgia and aren’t everywhere. Costumes are also better done with friends. ❤️ I’m an extrovert, but I tend to be quieter in big groups. I am not the life of the party, but being at a party can create some of the most interesting stories. I think some of the most beautiful, real moments can happen on the walk there or after with a friend, in the moments right after the event you throw ends, and you’re cleaning up together. It can come from watching people on a dance floor, admiring their creativity. It can come from watching Barney from your childhood pretend to DJ, and you just feel so lucky to witness it. Wonder is everywhere. I love the creativity of this city; I love seeing everyone’s costumes on the subway or out in the streets. This city turned Halloween into a week-long party that is continuing tonight for some. Never have I ever been so grateful to live in a place as full of life as New York.
