You’ve probably been seeing this all over your feed this past week (along with the highly anticipated release of Taylor’s new album - we had to give our girl a proper nod 🪩✨) but a new cinematic-style format is here for reels. 5120 x 1080 is the new 1920 x 1080 (for now, at least). This format goes against everything you’ve probably been told about filling the screen with your content; disruption in the feed can serve just as much of a purpose as perfectly curated content, though. While we don’t recommend reshaping your entire grid with tight, cinematic crops, it can be a great tool to catch viewers’ eyes for big announcements, new promotions or offers from your business, or reminders about important upcoming events.
