🇮🇹 Da qualche parte nell'infinita distesa blu dell'Oceano Pacifico, a più di 3700 km dalla terraferma cilena, appare all'orizzonte una strana isola: “Rapa Nui”, alias Isola di Pasqua. Circa 870 enormi sculture in pietra si affacciano su una terra quasi senza alberi. Ancora oggi queste statue continuano a confondere gli studiosi. 📸 👉 Nel corso dei secoli qui si sviluppò un'unica ma isolata cultura, al centro della quale si trovavano i "moai". Queste statue colossali con teste enormi erano sparse per tutta l'isola su piattaforme cerimoniali chiamate "ahu". Qui i Rapanui adoravano i loro antenati e capi. Inoltre, gli ahu probabilmente servivano anche come luoghi di sepoltura.
