I used to cue push ups on your knees as a modification a lot (it’s not wrong to do) I just think it’s hard to get out of the habit once you start doing that.
A push up is essentially a moving plank so you want to try and stay in a plank position as long as possible to improve your push ups.
A few other options to help w your push ups:
1. Incline push ups (hands on an elevated service like a chair or bench)
2. hand release push ups
3. SLOW eccentric push ups
4. holding the push up low at the bottom for 10/15 seconds.
