Review: The Wind-Up Bird Chronicles by Haruki Murakami —
I know this was about a marriage. And then I THINK this was about how little we sometimes know about each other? And sitting in a well? And war, love, the random connections we make, finding ourselves.... Honestly I’m not entirely sure plot wise, but somehow I was still into it.
Tried to let this one sink in from when a finished last week... and I’m leaning into that a lot of it is up for interpretation. 600 pages definitely not for the faint of heart— but a great read for one wanting an adventurous, lucid writing style. All at once I was ready to get through it but also not wanting it to end. Lots of beauty in the unexpected connections and quirky, memorable characters.
Lmk which Marukami I should read next :)
