🫠 I HAVE NOT FELT LIKE DOING ANYTHING FOR A MONTH. How’s YOUR motivation been lately? I had to force myself to do this. Ever since I got COVID last month, I’ve been napping a lot, eating a lot, barely moving, and have had a super foggy mind. The spiral began of not eating healthy out of convenience, my acne has flared up, and I’m over it. My identity as a trainer and a model keeps me accountable and on my toes, something I work on with my clients. I’m someone who has been big on maintenance for myself my whole life as opposed to yo-yoing to extremes. But DOOD 🐢 Long COVID is real. July 25th I first experienced symptoms. Was knocked for 2 weeks. Then, I tested negative 3 weeks ago. It’s now August 28th. 💪 I’ve lost muscle. 🫀 My endurance has decreased. 🩺 My heart rate was at least 172 after the first round of KB swings. You can see my rests, breaks, dizziness, and breathing in this short workout. But SOMETHING is better than NOTHING. It was better than watching another show on Hulu or Netflix. It was better than looking in the fridge for what I could eat out of boredom. It was better than lying in bed and throwing off my sleep schedule. I was going to just do this workout for myself, but as I sat there thinking of the circuit, I remembered if I time lapsed it and shared it, maybe it could help ONE other person to get up and move their own body in some way. Some workouts are harder than others and sometimes it can be the LAST thing you want to do - but you have to remember your WHY. Is it to have energy as a parent? Is it to prevent disease? Is it for your mental health? Is it for pain management? 🧠 Keep it in mind.
