this year, i broke: my laptop, which i use to write and perform all of my music; my violin, which i've had since i was 15; and, as if that wasn't enough, i also broke my right wrist. amidst these breakages, there has been a lot of healing. while music making became impossible for a time, i was finally given the space to begin thinking about what exactly my best life looks like. sometimes it feels a long way down the road, but all the people in my life (incl. many not pictured...) help me remember that it's much closer than i think. here is to a new year of music-making, healing, loving...happy new year everyone :")
