Truly humbled to be in the presence of the grate lake Toba, the biggest volcanic lake in the world! Formed 75,000 years ago by the eruption of supervolcano, Toba. It is one of Indonesia’s 5 super priority tourism destinations, a UNESCO global geopark & one of the Icons of Indonesian tourism. I am fascinated by the majestic view & entranced by their unique culture. On my last day I had a nice boat ride around the lake & saw hundreds of beautiful white cranes, monkeys, gold fishes, rich vegetation, a rainbow & cute little villages. I also visited the resident of Indonesia’s first president, Sukarno, & tried ‘andaliman’ - an endemic spice - sambal (chili paste/sauce/salsa) for lunch. It was a gorgeously sunny day with a cool breeze. Looking forward to my next visit & show you the diversity of my country.
