my RTW ambassador audition ⋆𐙚₊˚⊹♡ for those who don’t know, I once represented canada as a full-time badminton athlete. however, despite my success in sport - competing in 8 world championships & achieving a PB ranking of #40 worldwide, I lacked a sense of community amongst my team. this feeling of isolation ultimately contributed to my decision to retire in 2020. 

the following year, I took my first spin class on a whim and while I was in awe of the love & support felt by everyone in the room, I was also severely humbled on my back row bike (my new riders, trust me I was there!). with practice and consistency, I improved on the bike and grew a love for the indoor cycling community because it was NOTHING like I experienced during my years playing badminton. it was healing and transformative in ways I had never experienced as a professional athlete, and it was exactly what I needed during my transition out of sport. the space gave me an opportunity to be competitive with myself again while authentically supporting others, which ultimately led me to want to build a team of my own. now, as an instructor, I hope to foster a space where riders are encouraged to show up for themselves AND their teammates while pushing their bodies to do hard things …. and that is what the indoor cycling community means to me. being chosen as the RTW ambassador for this global event would mean everythinggggg to me because it would allow me to extend the sense of community in my own classes to people around the world. my goal is to inspire others to embrace their journeys, celebrate each other’s achievements, and connect through movement - and what better way to share that message than at this once in a lifetime event ❤️ #ridetheworldambassador @globalflowcycling @ridetheworldd @nuancesseries
