Capitalists love to preach about “competition” and “free markets” 
But in reality, every capitalist market drifts toward monopoly — and media is the clearest example. Warner Bros Discovery is now the prize in a bidding war between Netflix and Skydance. 
Both deals mean deeper consolidation. Lower wages. Higher prices. Shittier programming. And Skydance’s bid goes even further: backed by Gulf sovereign wealth funds and Jared Kushner’s investment firm — with promises to Trump about reshaping CNN. This isn’t a “free market.” It’s billionaires carving up the media landscape for profit and political influence. Whoever wins this race, we lose.
