It was both sad and joyful today to remember our friend Marguerite Iskenderian at the Old Stone House alongside her family, friends, Brooklyn College colleagues, and fellow musicians, who performed a beautiful program of string orchestra works led by David Leibowitz. Marguerite was a wonderful cellist, a devoted music librarian, and a kind and generous person whose life was cut short by a hit-and-run driver in April. We will miss her terribly.
