Steve Kerr said it best... “We’re being held hostage [by politicians who refuse to pass universal background checks];” against the will of 90% of the country. But those politicians are put there, and can afford to act with seeming impunity, because they’re put there by people who literally don’t care what they do so long as they check one of a few boxes. Boxes that have almost nothing to do with the well-being of our society, aside from limiting the freedoms of women, people of color, LGBTQIA, and enabling literally anyone to buy firearms with less scrutiny than it takes to drive a car.
