In our industry it is so important to give 110% instead of 100%. It’s the little extra work you‘ve got to do that pays off at the end. Many of my colleagues which whom I worked together within the last years come and ask ‚Uuuh it seems like your business is running pretty well. What are doing different now?‘ It’s not that I‘m doing something different now. It‘s all the work I‘ve done consistently each and every day for over 3 years. The extra work I‘ve done after I went home from jobs or that I did on weekends. It’s all about working on my portfolio regularly and about making my work seen by the right people. And yes, I‘m always motivated to create new work and to work together with new artists. But I also expect other artists to give 110%. Yes, you have to get up at freaking early call times. You might stay longer on set than 10 hours. You might finish your deadlines at midnight. You might need to travel and there might be a lot of costs that you‘ll have to cover on your own. But instead of complaining how hard your work is, how early you have to get off and how cold/hot the weather is at the shooting location - better be grateful that you are able to be there and to meet new creatives.
