@bootsriley thread on twitter PART 2! this #blackout seems to be eliciting mixed response from actual black folk.. maybe instead of a symbolic act of non-black silence, amplifying black voices is better? idk just seems slightly useless to couch untold levels of struggle and pain in a gesture that effectively calls for a break from participation in certain social media platforms... at current these are the greatest tools for communication and contemporary pedagogy LETS ACTUALLY USE THEM!
