Good Afternoon ... I did a #greenscreen for the first time so I’m a bit silly 😝 and stoked at the same time. This is my grateful gratitude post #1. There is no i in TEAM. Shoutout to my ghost writer @emilyliebert who I met almost a decade ago. When we met I wanted to write my book and we sat down to discuss the process. At that time I just couldn’t separate the work I was doing to build @boymeetsgirlusa to really dedicate my time on my book . I knew when I would be ready I would need a collaborator as I went to school for business , retailing and design and I wasn’t an English major but I was a journal writer ✍️ but at the same time I knew I wanted to work with someone specifically a woman who could help me form all my entries and my story as team player . In December of 2020 I emailed Emily and said I’m ready now. She told me it was almost 7 years later from our first meeting which was nuts . She said I would love to work with you on your book but you first need an agent 😂. I said ok I’m ready and thankfully Emily introduced me to my incredible agent Kirsten of @ultraliterary who felt my story of building an impact brand from the ground up would resonate with you all. Both Emily and Kirsten and my associate publisher Sara of @harpercollins @hcleadership all believed in me. Emily and I worked on the frame work for my book from Feb - MAY ‘21. In May 2021 #harpercollins became my publisher. Over the course of the past year we have been working on this book . Nothing happens over night . But what you will know from my book is how very important collaborations and partnerships and good humans mean to me. To be #1 in Fashion & Business on Amazon already in the first week gives me chills all over my body. Thank you to all of you.
