Q+A with @mitaleebharadwaj co-founder of @transcendencecoffee
đź’ˇWhat inspired you to start Transcendence Coffee?
We’re two 23-year old former baristas who worked together at a coffee shop and launched Transcendence Coffee with a love for specialty flavored lattes. We fell in love with the idea that coffee shops are a place for people to share more than just a drink, and we wanted to add the element of global cultural connection to our flavors. When we noticed that most coffee-shop flavors are redundant and have chemical extract flavoring, we knew we wanted to reinvent and elevate flavored coffee experiences.
🙌How do you pay it forward to support others?
We consistently pay attention to sustainability from glass recyclable bottles to minimalist recyclable packaging. We highlight well-sourced ingredients in our syrups by utilizing specialty stores like @diasporaco and similarly create our espresso blends with only fair-trade, organic, or women-produced beans. We aim to use more pop-ups and collaborations to highlight other women-owned businesses like ours!

✒️Our Thoughts...
1. The Transcendence house blend is smooth, crisp, and has beautiful lingering notes of chocolate. I will be ordering another bag soon! The syrups are also delicious and add such a nice, delicate sweetness to my coffee. The flavors are unique and complex, yet not overpowering. Overall, as a daily coffee consumer, I am a huge fan of Transcendence. The packaging is also super cute!
2. I loved the syrups, especially the gulab jamun one. I don’t usually sweeten my coffee, but they added such a nice flavor. I especially loved making an iced coffee with the syrup and oat milk, the perfect afternoon treat!
