We are at the Montana Supreme Court fighting the state’s criminal law that prevents qualified advanced practice registered nurses from providing abortion services. There is NO reason to prohibit people from accessing abortion care from the qualified provider of their choice. During the U.S. midterm elections, Montana voters rejected an anti-abortion ballot initiative, making it clear that they don’t want politicians controlling their bodies, lives or futures. Earlier this year the medically unjustified law was struck down by a lower court as a violation of the state constitution. The state Supreme Court will now decide whether to uphold that decision.
