As @waitressmusical plays it’s final week on Broadway, I am reminded of how this show changed my life in so many ways. First (and most obviously), IT WAS MY BROADWAY DEBUT!!!!!!!!! It showed little Tiffany that all of her hard work was not in vain, it extended my chosen NY family, and I got to work with some REALLY dope artists whom I’ve admired from afar for YEARS! But what many don’t know, is at the time this video was taken, I had just found the strength to walk out of a physically abusive relationship. My career was doing this weird “almost” bs. I was about to ALMOST give tf up ...i was so broken and lost...so I picked up a mic and soothed myself (in front of a restaurant full of people lol). After/because of this video, my career exploded. Thank you @sarabareilles for writing such BEAUTIFULLY RAW music! Sending all the love to the cast and crew.
