BIG NEWS!!! so excited to announce i'll be premiering my latest piece, "Across Every Ocean, I Am Holding On To You" at @lincolncenter for the @pathostrio LC debut concert on May 24th!!!! this piece has been in the making for nearly 2 years now, ever since Marcelina & Felix both asked me to write a new percussion & electronics piece in 2022. coinciding with my budding love for Sweet Trip, my composition process over the past couple years has been searching for ways to express the most urgent feelings in my heart that i've been feeling i've needed to get out to the world through sound. what resulted was a composition born out of love—out of friendship, of loving, of reaching, of enduring, of parting & reuniting, over and over again. all that i have learned about friendship and its resilience across distances of all kinds can be found in the sounds of this piece—sounds of IDM, shoegaze, ambient and classical music; sounds that enabled me to connect wordlessly with my friends & the world; sounds that inspired me to start on my current musical journey, that inspired me to live life fully & see the world differently. oceans of feeling have poured through me into this piece and i cannot wait to share this work with the world. with me it has undergone so many transformations...it is perhaps the most accurate snapshot of my heart today...hope you enjoy some of these behind the scenes footage during the writing process :") Across Every Ocean, I Am Holding On To You I.
