@hilareenelson and @jimwmorrison ‘s love for each other is indisputable. Jim's dry humor could get Hilaree deep-belly laughing and she would always throw it right back at him with a smirk on her face. You could tell each of them had been through some shit: in the mountains, in relationships, in life. They lived unconventionally, raising a family while traveling the globe. They found balance in a tilted world and made each other’s dreams come true climbing and skiing some of the biggest mountains in the world, together and apart. Jim’s capacity to love after losing his wife and kids in a tragic accident gave me hope and helped me move through my own loss. Hilaree’s ability to listen, learn, share and mentor impacted so many and will continue to empower women and mothers for years to come. I’m thankful for my time with these two lovebirds and am heartbroken for Jim, Hil’s family and the community who loved her 💔.
