This was very much a bucket list thing for me. Getting to do cover art for the fantastic comic #thedepartmentoftruth was a dream and to hold a copy of the comic is akin to the thrill of holding a record you’ve made. I mean, sure, I only did the alt cover art for one issue, but then I was mainly a bass player so you know, it makes sense. Ha! Thank you to @martinsimmonds for asking me to contribute, super cool of you. Martin and I were at school together, then art college and whilst we were playing in hardcore bands together, we talked about the artists that meant so much to us that were working in the comic and graphic novel field; Kent Williams, Dave McKean, Bill Sienkiewicz etc. A really inspiring time. I somehow ended up focussing on music and Martin carried on into his field and is now a world renown comic artist. If you haven’t read this book written by @jamesthefourth and illustrated by Martin, then you need to check it out especially if you are a fan of conspiracy, magick and secret government programs.
