I'm very often asked if I draw my sculptures before I make them. I use to reply I don't specifically draw them, I do tiny scribbles sometimes to help me fix the structure and armature issues or get a clearer vision. It is definitely helpful for the armature and structure, but it always fails to make things clearer as envisioning things in 3D and having less skills in drawing, those scribbles miss the point all the time. As a result I rarely follow my drawings. And most of the time I don't draw anything. But I still find them useful to explain to collectors commissioning something where I'm heading to.
