What a way to end two weeks in Africa. Thank you @lead.tz and @justdiggit for the tour of the sites today. I've never seen such challenging conditions to grow trees in my life. Just 25 kilometers from a very verdant, cloud drenched Mt Meru, Masai pastoralists are struggling to get enough water for their animals. Justdiggit and LEAD Foundation work with communities to practice #FMNR - farmer assisted natural regeneration, an approach that helps grow overlooked stumps on a landscape into full trees. They also practice water bunds to help keep water on the landscape. Many inspiring partners across #Uganda and #Tanzania. Only partially ready to head home. Expect a few more updates once I have a few good nights rest. It's been a whirlwind of a trip.
