That was us. This is us. I love seeing parents at weddings. The ones who are walking down the aisle with them, and the ones who are there attending. It’s the same role, just different age groups. I’m not sure yet, but I don’t think how you see your kid changes even if they’re grown up. I can’t speak on it, we’re still new to this. These photographs are some of my favorites too. The ones that go unsung and are rarely appreciated by the mainstream but are in the background quietly being heroes. Kinda like great loving parents. So I felt it would be good to highlight them. My ultimate dream would be to one day do this long enough to shoot the wedding of one these kiddos I’ve photographed. I wonder if the parents of the couple see the younger parents attending the wedding with their kids and think, I remember that. I miss it. That was us. This is us. . Frame 9 by @ashleytkim .
