*this is not a recommendation just sharing of what I do and results * I went in yesterday fully expecting to do my next BBL...(broadband light laser) but because my last one worked so well, we decided to change the plan. BBL has been amazing for me for red and pink discoloration - especially on my face — but I still had some stubborn brown pigmentation on my chest and arms that was bothering me. So ProFractional made more sense. ProFractional works deeper to help with texture, brown spots, and collagen. It does come with more downtime, which is why I felt comfortable treating my arms and chest right now, but not my face. Pain-wise: during the treatment it really wasn’t bad - it feels like quick little pops. Afterwards is when you feel it more. For me, it feels like a pretty intense sunburn. Today is the morning after. I had some swelling overnight (which is normal), and now it just feels sunburned and tender. After any laser, I always use Alastin Skin Nectar - it’s a splurge, but it truly helps speed up healing for me. Sharing this because I get so many questions about lasers, pain, downtime.
