I turned 40 today. I have a lot to say about how I feel as I am sitting on the beach in Hanalei bay with my almost 9 month old baby. My mom and three sisters are back at the house that’s just a few blocks from the beach. I’ve been so busy at work trying to imagine the life that I really want for myself and my family I feel clearer and also more tender than ever. I miss my darling Love who is in Mexico now on a journey But as I bury my toes into the sand and watch Palomino covered in sand I feel both sadness and joy. I think growing older for me has created space to feel both things and have it be OK. I feel lonely and I feel grateful for my dear friends. I feel overwhelmed and I feel so fortunate. I feel exhausted! But I also feel more love than I ever have before. To another 40 years at least! I hope to be doing downward dog at 80. Also, a rainbow! 🌈
