I’m putting this up as I really like it as a photo. And despite having done this - undeniably unusual - job for almost 12yrs now, it’s rare that I look at a photo and think “I like that”. I look happy. Genuinely happy. And i was. It’s not that “look great”, it’s that I look happy. I think as women, we’re conditioned to be critical of ourselves rather than always looking at the glass half full picture. Whilst we may be able to do that in life generally, when it comes to ourselves, we so often look for the negatives whilst ignoring the positives that there will nearly always be. I know that Insta is now all about the videos but there are still occasions when a snapshot in time of being happy can be so much more impactful. Take the photos, post the photos, look for the upsides and grow in confidence from them. It’s not vain, it’s not fickle, it’s about self belief. Now this is a ridiculously trite saying BUT it’s more than true - if you don’t believe in yourself, how can others be expected to? So post the happy photos. And I will also add, I’m really pleased with my hair here 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Not to mention the navy suede jacket from @nrbyclothing from my edit 😊😊😊 Oh and my early birthday present from my late mum which at certain moments in time, does give me more joy than any of my children 😂😂😂😂 #postthephoto
