📣 #Pirelli’s tyre prototype is made with sustainable materials obtained from renewable or recycled sources. It made its debut at CES 2023 in Las Vegas, fitting the Ram 1500 Revolution BEV concept. 🌱 This new tyre is the result of intense research from Pirelli’s R&D department to reduce environmental impact and the use of fossil-derived materials. It confirms the path towards increased sustainability through more use of renewable or recycled materials throughout the production process. 🔋 The prototype 24-inch tyre equips the Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept . In addition to using sustainable components, the tyre is also designed to benefit from the latest state-of-the-art Pirelli technologies, such as PNCS and Elect: a package of solutions developed specifically for electric cars. ✅ FSC-certified natural rubber and rayon, silica obtained from rice husks, bio-polymers and recycled carbon black have largely been used within the production of the prototype tyre. 🎯 This prototype confirms Pirelli's commitment to using more and more renewable and recycled materials within its production cycle and according to the sustainability objectives of its industrial plan.
