I took a personal break from social media for over a year, but this is way too important to sit back anymore and watch us change the world from the sidelines. Now is not the time to be silent. I’ve been blessed with incredible Black friends and mentors throughout my life who inspire and teach me, adventure with me, and opened doors I could’ve never imagined possible. Black art is a huge part of my identity, and plays such a positive role in my life intellectually and emotionally. I stand with love and unity with the black people of America, and the world, in the name of bringing immediate justice for the victims senselessly murdered by racist police and white supremacists, defeating the institutions and mentalities that disenfranchise black community, and promoting solidarity in the demand for equality.
