Today my boys start second grade and kindergarten. It’s bittersweet, but I’m so proud of them and excited for what this year brings. The little one was nervous for his very first day in public school but his nerves were calmed when his older brother said he would look out for him. They walked through the front door together without looking back. They were ready and excited. These days are the ones our children remember. There’s a reason we record life in the first days, they define so much of who we become. I hope that as my boys start a new year, and your kids too, that they hold on to the curiosity that they entered their classrooms with and let that lead them through the year.
