Over the past month, we've introduced you to 2 of our 3 new Program Partners: KZN Network On Violence Against Women, and @philisaabafazibethu. Today, we're thrilled to share the final organization to recently join the CTAOP family: Community Healthcare Solutions 🌻 Based in Howick, KwaZulu-Natal, Community Healthcare Solutions uses a life-skills program focused on soccer ⚽️ with the main aim of impacting behavior change to reduce HIV, TB and COVID, promote gender equity and reduce unplanned pregnancies. For the next five years, CHS is committed to serving one informal settlement called Shiya Abazali –– which translates to “leave your parents." This community is made up of marginalized groups, immigrants, LGBTQIA+ folks, and young people who have dropped out of school. By taking a holistic approach, they are working with the local primary school, local clinic, church leaders, local government, and other NGOs to strengthen community referral systems –– all in service of the youth. Unlike the CTAOP Program Partners who've come before, Community Healthcare Solutions has no website or social media. They are a deeply grassroots community based organization with all resources going towards their programs. We are proud and humbled to be in a position to share their important work with you all 🙏
